In a world that’s forever changing its values, how do we hold true to a faith that upholds the same values now that were written 3500 years ago? It’s a challenge we face in multiple arenas—dating, voting, reading, listening to music, watching TV, surfing the web—but one arena we all visit that hasn’t changed much since Biblical times is entertainment. Heightened violence, amplified sexuality, slackened morals were as much a struggle for the early church as they are now. So where should we draw the line when it comes to entertainment that crosses it? How should Christians sit with entertainment that doesn’t sit with Christianity?
