Drive 100 Hours takes at-risk young people who don’t have a license and come from backgrounds that limit their access to proper instruction. We pair them with mentors and instructors who teach them to drive, and mentor them in life. Most participants are accessed through employment agencies and have been long-term unemployed, and a majority of them finish our program with employment and a better future.
This program began in 2012 in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Council and the ongoing program takes referrals from IFYS and STEMM. A continued relationship with Mission Australia, Employment Plus, STEPS, Epic, CRS, local schools, churches, and organizations such as Men’s Shed will feed more participants into the program.
